Warehouse Associate
Responsible for maintaining smooth operations of all day-to-day receiving functions as they relate to Donation, Order selectors, administration, personnel, RODS accuracy Bin Slotting and FIFO processes. Provides exceptional customer service and support first shift receiving and Operations programs as needed. Maintain professional business relations with staff and outside contacts. Keep Warehouse Manager well informed of all area activities.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or commensurate industry experience, previous experience in food Warehousing and/or like business. Experience in food warehousing or inventory management. At least two years of Food Grade Warehouse experience.
Truck Driver
Deliver Member Agency orders and pick-up food donations and/or purchased products timely, accurately, strictly in compliance to all establish guidelines set by the Houston Food Bank, Department of Transportation, all local, state, and federal guidelines/regulations, while providing exemplary customer service to both Internal and External Customers.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or approved equivalency, valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License:
Class “A” for tractor/trailer equipment.
Approved 3-Year (Clean/Clear/No Violations) Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), pass Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical. Three (3) years knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations. Three (3) years driving/operating “Equipment” based on classifications above and all MHE (Material handling Equipment). Possess strong customer service skills and willingness to assist others, communicate complex information timely, consistently, and clearly, attentive to detail, self motivated/directed, ability to problem solve, coordinate and positive interaction with other departments, personnel and “Customer’s” of the Houston Food Bank.

Legal Caseworker - Cabrini Center (Bilingual)
Duties include client intake, petition, affidavit, and application preparation, legal case management, and outreach.
Requirements:
Proficiency in English and Spanish – verbal and written; minimum of one year legal casework and/or clerical experience; proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Power Point; and Bachelors Degree required. Must have reliable transportation, valid Texas driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
Case Worker - Basic Needs Services (Bilingual)
The job duties will include: Conducting intake/screening; Collecting and verifying data to determine needs and appropriate resources and referrals; providing community resources and financial assistance as directed by funders; preparing case file; and ensuring data is entered accurately in ODM system.
Requirements:
Successful candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years experience in direct service delivery. Bachelor’s degree in a related field of social work is preferred. Candidates must be bilingual, English/Spanish.
Case Manager - Basic Needs Services (Bilingual)
This position is responsible for case management services to disaster victims in our Texas City Office. Job duties will include conducting assessments, developing service plans, in conjunction with the families assessed, link eligible families to community resources and deliver information and referral. This position will also create Aftercare plans and serve as an advocate on behalf of clients as needed.
Requirements:
Successful candidates must have a Master in Social Work with one year experience in handling a large volume of caseloads; or have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work with two-three years experience in social service case management. Candidates must be bilingual, English/Spanish.
Birth Parent Social Worker - Infant Adoption Program
The Birth Parent Social Worker provides counseling to any birth parent who is trying to make a permanent plan for their child. Both parenting and adoption are explored. If adoption is selected by the birth parent the social worker will provide counseling and case management services. This agency also has an open adoption program so the birth parent is educated on this and then selects how they will formulate their adoption plan. Counseling is provided in the office, home, hospital or whatever setting the birth parent chooses. Support is given during her hospital stay and post placement grief and loss counseling are also provided. The social worker must keep timely and accurate records, testify in court and prepare court reports.
Requirements:
The Social Worker must have a driver's license, use of a car, be able to travel around the Houston area, have a clear criminal and child abuse registry check, have a current TB test, and be able to pass a drug screen. The social worker must be a licensed, master's level or a bachelor with at least two years of experience in adoption counseling.
Foster Parents - Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program (Bilingual)
An exciting opportunity for either singles or married couples to live in one of two single family agency homes and provide foster care to a maximum of six teenagers who have been granted refugee status in this country, those that seek asylum in this county, and those children identified as victims of human trafficking.
Requirements:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking families preferred. Salary, housing, utilities, business vehicle, food, and support staff provided. Medical, dental, and life insurance available. High school diploma or equivalent and two years experience working with children required.
